Why do a StrengthFit Class?
In addition to building strength and muscle mass, strength training contributes to the maintenance of functional abilities, and prevents osteoporosis, sarcopenia (loss of body mass), lower-back pain and other musculoskeletal injuries. In other words it slows down the ageing process.
Research also proves that strength training may positively affect insulin resistance, resting metabolic rate, glucose metabolism, blood pressure and body fat. Additionally by working the muscles through a full range of motion, strength training can improve your overall body flexibility.
Here’s what you can expect at your next StrengthFit class:
• Sessions contain a maximum of 12 participants, movements are tailored to each participant’s current strength level
• Progressively heavier weights are used as the participant displays appropriate technique and adapts to previous sessions.
• With regular attendance you can expect to see strength gains, increased muscular power, endurance and size, a reduction in body fat, in addition to enhanced performance of everyday tasks
