High Intensity Interval Training is an efficient aerobic and anaerobic workout utilizing short bursts of intense cardiovascular exercise followed by periods of less intense recovery. HIIT has risen in popularity amongst fitness enthusiasts over the last few years and for good reason. Many studies have proven HIIT to be one of the most effective training methods when it come to burning the highest amount of calories and fat in the shortest amounts of time. Here’s what you can expect at your next HIITFit class:
• Exercises are individually tailored to each participant’s current fitness level
• Cardiovascular training, lighter weights utilized, full body movements
• In addition to the energy burned during class your metabolism remains elevated for as much as 24 hours post workout
• Come to classes regularly and you can expect to see an improvement in cardiovascular endurance and strength, a reduction in body fat, an increase in lean body mass, improved aerobic and anaerobic capacity
Class Layout
• 10-15 minute warm up
• 45 minutes of training
• 4 training blocks with 3 exercises per block
• Cardiovascular based training
